How I Kept The Faith

How I Kept the Faith is an online journal about theology. Here I explore theology through the lens of what I have learned throughout my life as a believer, examine the possibilities presented through the vast and multifaceted history of the Church, and imagine new possibilities for thinking about God in a Christian context.

Kelly Wilson (he/him)

I am a writer and independent theology scholar. My theology writings have appeared in Episcopal Cafe Magazine, including the Evangelical Shift series. I have also written content for organizations such as Graduate Theological Union, The Episcopal Church, The Cathedral Church of St John the Divine, Auburn Seminary, and the Union for Reform Judaism. I co-created and co-hosted the podcast and live event series “Radical Love Live,” and currently host a podcast that accompanies this site. As a lifelong believer from a family of ministers, I have been doing theology in some form or other since I was a kid. While studying theater and creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College, I also took a “stealth” program in theology, including Hermeneutics, Medieval Monastacism, Religion and History in the 19th and 20th Centuries, and the Emergence of Christianity. I have also studied theology in the Master of Theology programs at Church Divinity School of the Pacific and Drew University. Thank you for joining me on my continuing theological journey.
